This app is not medical care
Kalorie is not a medical device and its output is not medical advice. Nothing in it diagnoses a condition, prescribes a treatment, or replaces a consultation with a doctor or a registered dietitian.
Talk to a qualified professional before making a significant change to how you eat or train — especially if you have a health condition or take medication.
Every number here is an estimate
Your calorie target is calculated from population-average equations. Real metabolic rates vary meaningfully between people of identical height, weight, age, and sex.
Treat your targets as a starting point to adjust against real results — your weight trend over several weeks — rather than as a measurement of your body.
AI photo analysis is the least precise feature
The model identifies foods reasonably well. Portion size is much harder: depth is not visible in a photograph, and oil, sugar, and sauces are often invisible entirely.
Always review the figures before saving a meal. Do not treat an unreviewed analysis as a measurement.
When to seek supervision first
Do not use this app to guide your intake without professional supervision if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are under 18, have diabetes or kidney or liver disease, have a history of an eating disorder, or are recovering from surgery or a serious illness.
Calorie tracking can worsen disordered eating. If counting is making your relationship with food harder rather than easier, stop and speak to someone qualified.
Weight-loss pace
The app limits weight-change pace to a range considered generally safe for most healthy adults. Faster loss than the app suggests is not a target to beat — it usually costs muscle and rarely lasts.
In an emergency
This app cannot help in a medical emergency. Contact your local emergency services immediately.
